About Edenderry Oaks
Living on the plateau close to Edenderry I noticed that numerous self-seeded oak saplings were growing there. This inspired me to begin to gather native acorns from the ancient oaks around Edenderry in this area of outstanding natural beauty, and down the Lagan Valley as far as Deramore; I now cultivate the oaks and grow them on our own land.

I want to see these oaks of local provenance give pleasure to their owners and help sustain the numerous wildlife and plant species for which they can provide a haven.
Gathering the acorns
The village of Edenderry - the brow of the Oak wood - nestles deep in the Lagan valley, home for generations of mighty ancient Oak trees.
Living on the prehistoric ritual plateau above the village - site of the mystical Giant's Ring earthwork structure - I gather acorns from Edenderry down to Deramore and cultivate them until they are beautiful saplings ready for planting out as ideal wedding gifts
